PRISON WORSHIP
I used to spend two to three hours a week visiting a young man named Don in the Nevada Maximum Security State Prison in Carson City. I have visited numerous penal institutions as a minister. This one is possibly the worse that I have ever seen. It has been in operation since the last century. It still retains that old west type prison flavor. Then, too, it houses some of America’s worse criminals. Murderers, rapists and the like are the norm. Nonetheless, I always found God to be present every time that I walked on the grounds. It was my privilege to disciple a particular inmate there over the span of about a year. His name was Don.
