Last year he sent in this story from his own experience: r94587 In a bilingual church I pastored many years ago in Massachusetts, a Mrs. Johnson was well known for her simple faith in God. Her husband was unemployed and, prayerfully, she walked the streets helping him look for work. One day she saw a section gang working at a railroad crossing and walked up to one of the men, asking if there was any possibility for her husband’s employment. He told her, rather irreverently, that she would have to talk to the foreman, calling him a son-of-a-so-and-so. Being from the old country and unfamiliar with foul names, she thought this was his designation. Addressing him as such, she repeated her request.
