NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH
The choir director came to the senior pastor one day and complained to the pastor that a man had joined the choir who could not sing. He told the pastor that he had tried everything, including comments by other choir members, to get the man to quit. The choir director was completely exasperated, and it was now time for the pastor to provide a solution for this problem. The pastor dutifully went to this fellow who couldn’t sing and talked with him about it. He asked the man if he wouldn’t like to try doing something else. The man responded that he loved to sing and he wanted to stay in the choir. The pastor finally told the man the undiluted truth: “There are six people around you in the choir who have told me that you can’t sing.” The man responded, “That’s nothing pastor, at least fifty people have told me you can’t preach.” From Breaking the 100-200 Barrier…
