LOOKING FOR LOOPHOLES
An old Quaker discovered a burglar in his home late one night. The thief was emptying the contents of the Quaker’s safe into a sack. The Quaker tiptoed out, got his shotgun, and tiptoed back. Standing only a few feet from the burglar, he announced his presence. “Friend,” he said calmly, “I would not harm thee for the world, but thou art standing where I am about to shoot.” From 300 Seed Thoughts by Miller and Moore, published by Net Press, Lubbock TX, 1986
