The story starts with 10 year old Christopher climbing over a new wall of fresh bricks – – which tumbled down with him in a heap. They were not yet dry. And so the ten year old boy tumbled unceremoniously into the presence of the middle aged fat man who had just put up the wall. Worse, he was the landlord. And with such an inauspicious beginning young Chris made the acquaintance of Winston Churchill. The story, which I commend to you, grows into one in which the young boy becomes a 15 year old spy against the Germans and throughout the Second World War he becomes the special secret agent of Churchill.
