Courage | Evangelism | Example | Faith | Strength

Edith Cavell, a British nurse in World War I, was about to be shot by a firing squad in 1915. Just before they placed a blindfold over her eyes she said, “I am glad to die for my country, but I realize that patriotism is not enough.” Then she gave a clear and definite testimony to her own personal faith in Christ. Adapted from Encyclopedia of 7700 Illustrations, Paul Tan.
