A GOOD RESOURCE FROM OG MANDINO
A good resource on the practical aspects of succeeding in life by fifty different writers. It is edited by Og Mandino and is called University of Success (Bantam, New York, 1982). It includes a helpful chapter by Tom Rusk and Randy Read, “How To Find the Courage to Take Risks” which is taken from their book I Want To Change, But I Don’t Know How (Blue Pacific Books, 1978). Rusk and Read include the following: Charles Dickens depicts the tragic figure of Lady Havisham, sitting in her bedroom in full bridal regalia decades after her rejection by the would-be groom. Her monumental cowardice keeps her afraid to face her life as it is. If we want, we too can have dreams and cobwebs, fantasies about what was or might be.
