THE LOVE OF GOD
Love is beauty, pure and sweet,
Like the wine of an enchanted chalice;
Refreshing as a cool stream striking the bare feet,
And as rich as any royal palace.
Love is truth, just and pure,
Leaving the mind at ease:
For out of love things will pour,
That will comfort and please.
Love has power, great and sincere,
Upon timeless generations of men and women;
When there is despair, He drives away fear,
And the broken heart He can mend.
Love is all – whole and complete,
The basis for all creation –
He rushes forth like a mighty fleet,
Conquering and bringing salvation.
