DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
Also from the Jordan autobiography: My father at that time was definitely not pleased with me. I remember that. We did not see eye to eye on anything. He felt called upon to brag to acquaintances about the excellence of his three girls. He would say: “I’m raising three girls in the heart of the city,” (It wasn’t.) “And they don’t drink, they don’t smoke, they don’t dance, they don’t play cards, they don’t go to the movies. I tell you it’s hard, friends, to do that with three young girls in the heart of the city.” And that would just cause me the squeemies of the gut. I thought: “How can he go around bragging about the fact that he has three freaks?” Page 46.
