BE PREPARED
There’s a warming story about a husband who is going to ask for a raise. He told his wife that on this particular Friday, he was going into the boss’s office to request the raise which he felt was deserved. Naturally, he was nervous and apprehensive. Toward the end of the working day he finally raised his courage to approach the boss and, to his pleasant surprise, the employer readily agreed that he was due an increase in salary. When he arrived home he noticed the dining room table was set with the best dishes. There were candles burning. His wife had prepared a festive meal. He thought to himself, someone from the office must have tipped her off that he got the raise. He went into the kitchen, told her the good news, they kissed and then sat down to a delicious and wonderful meal.
