Once a king asked the wisest man in his court to give him a bit of wisdom that would bring him up when he suffered hardship, and bring him back down to reality when he felt arrogant and life was good. The wise man thought for weeks, and finally came up with the answer. Engraving the sentence on his ring, the king carried the philosophy everywhere he went… from throne to battlefield; when he lost loved ones to death, and when he went to the treasury to count his millions. Each time the king read the inscription on his ring, curiosity soared among the citizens. “What could it say?” they murmured among themselves. Finally after many years, the king died.
