RADIANT FAITH
According to an old story a man was walking down a dark street when he met another with a staff and a lantern. The odd part of it was that the man was feeling his way with the staff and was making no apparent use of the lantern. When asked if he were blind the man replied in the affirmative, but added that he knew the street well and could make his way easily by means of his staff. The stranger asked, “But why do you carry a lantern?” The blind man replied, “To keep other people without lanterns from stumbling over me.” Faith is like a lantern. It shows the way for some, points out the right path and reveals obstacles. At the same time faith prevents others from stumbling over you, from hurting you.
