SIGNS FOR OUR TIMES
While listening to a radio program after the Olympics, I heard a person call in and ask, “You know during the Olympics and a lot of other sports shows, I saw John 3:16 and was wondering what that means.” The disc jockey wasn’t quite sure but then said, “It probably has something to do with the Bible.” Later they did discover that it was a Scripture verse, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall never perish, but have everlasting life.” But the disc jockey’s comment was, “What does that really have to do with anything? What significance does that have? What difference does it make?” Are we making a difference and letting it be tied to the scriptures?
