MENDING THAT WHICH IS TORN
I recently purchased a set of sheets for our mattress. I did not realize that these sheets were a different style from others I’d purchased in the past. There was a ten inch seam that held the top sheet and the bottom sheet together. “Wow, this is great,” I thought to myself, “no more sheets coming untucked!” Some time later, when I had this same set of sheets on the bed, I walked into the room just in time to hear a loud rip. My husband looked at me with a look of horror on his face. Not only did he put a rather long tear in the sheet, he successfully pulled the sheets apart. We both agreed that we liked the sheets separate anyway. The tear could be mended, and I assured him I’d take care of it later.
