HIS ONLY FORGOTTEN SON
My five-year-old Stephen was practicing his memory verse for Bible Club. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only forgotten son…” My wife laughed as she related this story, and so did I. Yet far too often his slip is all too true. Jesus is ignored if not forgotten by the world. Even we Christians leave Jesus on the shelf until we can’t handle things ourselves. In spite of this, God loved the world so much that he sent his Son knowing that he would be ignored, forgotten, put aside and abused. What love God has for me. May I always remember that love and live accordingly.
