Steve Wing, former colleague now pastoring the Presbyterian Church in Colby, Kansas, sent me one he heard from one of his members about the lack of rain out in the plains states. It seems a Kansas farmer and a Texas farmer were talking about how little it rained in their respective states. In the contest of one-upsmanship the Texas farmer finally won when he said, “Remember back in the Bible when that big flood came in Noah’s day and it rained for 40 days?” The Kansan nodded. The Texan continued, “Well, we got only two inches.” 67701
