SEASON PAST THANKSGIVING DAY
A professional football team had just finished their daily practice, when a large turkey came strutting onto the practice field. While the players watched in amazement, the turkey walked up to the head coach and demanded a tryout. Everyone on the field stared in absolute silence as the turkey caught one pass after another and ran right through the defensive line. When the turkey returned to the sidelines, the coach enthusiastically greeted him: “You’re terrific!!! I’ll sign you for the entire season, and I’ll see to it that you get a huge bonus at the end of the season.” “But coach,” the turkey said, “I don’t care about the bonus; all I need to know is how long the season lasts. Does the season go past Thanksgiving Day?”
