Over the past few decades there has been a great deal of interest in the topic of prophecy. What is the test of the prophet? (Deut.)
Who is the true prophet?
People are always fascinated by anything that looks anything like prophecy. One topic of parallel interest is that of premonitions — which can border on the occult. I found this account of interest by Abraham Lincoln during his last days, as told to Ward Lamon and other guests at the White House, as reported in The Face of Lincoln, “About ten days ago I retired very late.
