Once a year, on this day, many of us decide that the time has come to make some changes in the way we live. Most of us probably know at least one person who will make a New Year’s Resolution to quit smoking. One such person said recently: “When I was a boy, I had to sneak around and hide my smoking from my father. Now I have to sneak around and hide my smoking from my kids.”
For anyone who smokes, a New Year’s Resolution to quit is probably a good idea. For everyone — for you and for me and for every member of this Christian Community — a New Year’s Resolution to rejoice in the Good News Message of God’s Love for us is definitely a good idea:
