Faith, Love And Peace

The subject of prayer has always held a position of prominence in religious publishing. Down through the years, persons from all walks of life have been writing books about prayer and books of prayers. Theologians, Scripture scholars, monks, novelists, poets, housewives, social scientists, teachers — to name a few — have contributed to an immense body of works dealing with the Mystery of prayer. But like the awesome Mystery of God Himself, the full depth of the mystery of prayer is beyond our ability to penetrate. The experience of God’s Presence does not unravel the Mystery of God. It draws us deeper into it. And so it is with prayer. When we pray sincerely, we are drawn deeper into the mystery of this wondrous means of communicating with God. Every sincere prayer provides us with a new clue, a new insight — and the more we learn, the more we realize that God does work in mysterious ways. In the Apostle Paul’s words …
