When we read the Bible story of our “First Parents” living in the Garden of Eden, we can see that Adam and Eve had an ideal marriage. For example,
Adam didn’t have to hear about all the men Eve could have married. And Eve didn’t have to hear about all those other husbands who get to play golf every Saturday. But, as we know, when Eve partook of the “forbidden fruit,” life for our “First Parents” became less than ideal. The story is told that after Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden, their son Cain, while out walking with his father, noticed the beautiful Garden and asked, “Why don’t we live there.” To which Adam replied, “Son, we used to live there, but your mother ate us out of house and home!”
