I’m going to tell you a fish story:
It seems that some scientists decided to develop a fish that could live outside of water. They selected several healthy red herring for the experiment. They bred them and cross-bred them until, finally, they produced a fish that could live out of water. Still, they weren’t satisfied. They suspected that even though the fish had learned to exist on dry land, it still had a secret desire for water. Consequently, they decided to change its very desires. So again they went to work, this time retraining even the fish’s strongest reflexes. The result? A fish that would rather die than get wet. Even a little humidity filled the fish with horror.
Proud of their triumph, the scientists took the fish on an exhibition tour. Then it happened: quite accidentally, the fish was dropped into a lake. It sank all the way down to the bottom, eyes and gills clamped shut, afraid even to move lest…
