Do you remember the Old Testament story in which the prophet Jonah becomes angry with God and ends up in the belly of a huge fish? The story begins when God commands Jonah to go and preach in the great city of Ninevah, warning the people that because of their wickedness, the city would be destroyed. But Jonah hates the Ninevites. He wants no part of them, and he refuses to go. Instead he goes to sea.
