“Could you possibly give the dog a full-blown funeral?” he asked.
“No, I don’t think that would be possible,” the minister replied, “but you might try the priest from the nearby Catholic Church.”
Taking the minister’s advice, the man asked the Catholic Priest, “Could you possibly give my dog a full-blown funeral?” “No,” the priest replied, “I don’t think that would be possible, but you might try the Baptist Minister just around the corner. He is very fond of animals.”
“What about the cost? Do you think a donation to them of one thousand dollars would be enough?” the dog-owner asked.
“Why didn’t you tell me he was a Catholic dog,” said the priest.
