A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Dentist
The following real-life account was shared by a woman who had a life-changing experience in of all places, the dentist chair! She writes:
To say I’m scared of going to the dentist is an understatement. And so as I walked from my car to the office I felt panicky, almost hysterical. After all, I was about to have the dreaded root canal procedure. I thought, how could I possibly relax with my mouth wide-open while my dentist poked, and drilled, and maneuvered?
As the assistant helped me into the chair and fastened the towel around my neck, I looked up at her. We’d always smiled and said hello, but never anything more. For some reason, I touched her arm. “How are you?” I asked.
Her eyes filled with tears. “It is my birthday,” she said. “I am missing my mother in Poland. We are very close and have not seen each other…
