One Sunday morning, on the way home from church, a little girl named Claudia turned to her mother and said,
ìMommy, the pastor told us that God is bigger than us. Is that true?î To which mommy replied, ìYes, that is true honey.î
Then the little girl said, ìThe preacher said that God lives in us. Is that true?î
Mommy again replied, ìYes honey, that is true.î Little Claudia then asked, ìWell, if God is bigger than us and lives in us, wouldnít He show through?î
Yes, Claudia, He would show through, if only we would listen to the Lord Jesus and learn to live the way He wants us to live, the way He wants us to love one another.
Jesus is telling us, here and now, to make the adjustments required to allow the voice of forgiveness and compassion to penetrate our souls.
Are we listening?
Jesus is telling us, here and now, to resist every temptation to allow the voices of retribution…
