In His “Sermon on the Mount,” Jesus instructs us as follows:
“If you are bringing your offering to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar go and be reconciled with your brother first, and then come back and present your offering” (Mt. 5:23-24).
It is plainly evident there are not many among us who find it in their hearts to take this command of Jesus seriously. It’s almost as though we think that God made a serious mistake when He identified forgiveness as the very essence of His pull over us.
