Amazing Grace,

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
that saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
was blind but now I see.

In today’s Gospel reading, the religious leaders were extremely upset about Jesus’ healing a blind man. We come upon them as they are browbeating the man who had been healed, trying to analyze and judge the episode according to their preconceived notions of how God’s Grace should work: What do you say about this man called Jesus? If He really healed you, didn’t He break the law that says we should not work on the Sabbath? If He broke the law, isn’t He a sinner? And, if He is a sinner, how can you say He healed you?
