CANCER COURAGE
There was a story published a couple of years ago in Homiletics about Linda, a mother of three, who was diagnosed with cancer and given one year to live. In spite of this diagnosis, she determined that she would live the rest of her life to the fullest. While Linda struggled with the physical inconveniences of the symptoms of cancer, she did not let the cancer rule her life. She and her family planned a trip to the Cayman Islands and they all were taking scuba lessons at a local pool to prepare themselves for this family vacation. Linda was taking the lessons right along with the others. Just before the family was to leave for their vacation, Linda’s blood count was dangerously low.
