Comedian Allen Rossi tells the story of a dream he had:
There I was, sitting at a table for two in an elegant restaurant. I looked across the table and I suddenly realized that I was having lunch with God. Fantastic! Then, God sneezed — and I didn’t know what to say.
In today’s Gospel Lesson, God Almighty is inviting us to more than a mere lunch. He is asking us to come to a Heavenly Banquet, a Love Feast — not in a dream, but for real! Hearing this invitation, the question arises, “How do we respond? Do we know what to say?”
Jesus says in today’s Gospel Lesson:
The man who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me and I in Him… The man who feeds on this Bread shall live forever (Jn. 6:56,58).
Do we know what to say? How about, “Wow!” Let’s say it together. Ready? One…two…three…”Wow!” Having said that big “Wow!”…
