A BALANCED BUSINESS
A businessman once saw a sudden increase in his business. This increase lasted for about two weeks. He was suddenly doing twice the volume he had previously done. His curiosity was answered when one of his customers told him that his only competitor in town had become ill and had to temporarily close his business. At the end of the two weeks the businessman calculated how much additional profit he had acquired because of his competitor’s misfortune. He then took the proceeds to his competitor and gave him this amount. Love would not allow the businessman to keep what could have been his.
