NOT ONE, BUT TWO MIRACLES
In October of 1987, in a California hospital, a baby named Paul was born with a defective heart. His parents and doctors knew it was defective by way of pre-natal tests. The left side of the heart was 1/3 the size needed. Baby Paul could not live with his own heart. He needed another. Another was found, right near his due-date of birth. Doctors delivered Paul by Caesarean section. Then, just three hours later, Baby Paul underwent a heart transplant. His chances looked good. Miraculous healing, no? But even more miraculous and touching is the story of that donor heart. It came from a newborn girl who was born with very little brain.
