KINDNESS IN DETROIT
Monday evening I went to a Prayer Concert being held at my church; Rosedale Park Baptist on the west side. I was interrupted with a message that my husband phoned, my daughter was gone, and I needed to come home. I informed my pastor and left. What I found minutes later was amazing. The sidewalks in the usually quiet neighborhood were busy and folks were driving up and down the streets looking for my little girl. A couple of people reported having seen her and literally dozens were aiding my husband in the search. A friend from church soon arrived, and on his way he was stopped and asked to help look for a little girl. People came to see if she was home yet. Our neighbors were banding together for us. The color of our skin did not matter at all. Meanwhile, the meeting at church had turned into a prayer vigil for my daughter, and over a dozen friends…
