One of my wealthier neighbors told me of the merriest Christmas he ever experienced. He said, “One Christmas Eve I locked my office door and started home, feeling the Spirit of Christmas had snubbed me that year. As I left the building on that bitterly cold day, I saw on the usual street corner the usual little paper boy shouting the headlines. I, slipping into my warm overcoat, noticed he had no overcoat. The dirty jacket he wore was much too large for his frail shoulders. It was also so thin he shivered with chill.
