THE WORD OF A GENTLEMAN
David Livingstone opened Africa to trade and to missionaries and the Gospel. He was in such constant danger and personal privations that only an iron will and a strong faith enabled him to press on through almost insurmountable difficulties. Livingstone said, “I was enabled to go on because I had the word of a perfect gentleman, never known to break a promise, that He would be with me always.” Matthew 28:20, Christ said, “Lo, I am with you always even unto the end of the world.”
