Don’t Forget to Invite Jesus

Asked to name his favorite Bible story, a young student said it was the story of Jesus changing water into wine at the marriage feast in Cana. “What did you learn from the story?” the teacher asked. The boy replied, “When you have a wedding, it’s a good idea to have Jesus there.” Indeed, when you have a wedding, the very best idea is to have Jesus there.

We are all born “wide-eyed,” so to speak. We delight in the enthusiastic wonder of an infant who hears the jingle of keys or the clear-eyed logic of a young student. Often, we are inspired by persons of advanced years who still maintain a youthful air — a spirit of enthusiastic wonder for the blessings of life.
