There’s a gap most of us learn to live with

We know what we believe. We have known it for years.
We can say it clearly. We can explain it to others.

And yet, somewhere between what we believe and how we live, the connection breaks down. Not in dramatic ways. Not in ways that draw attention. But in the quiet decisions. The small moments. The unseen habits of the heart.

It is not a failure of faith.
It is something more subtle than that.

It is the challenge of holding the pieces together—of connecting what we say with what we do.

Not long ago, a story circulated about a man who had built his entire career on the study of human memory. He had written books. He had developed systems for remembering. He was invited to give a keynote address at a major conference.
