APRIL
When I think of springtime it reminds me of the story of the old man who was being interviewed as he approached his 95th birthday. They asked if he had any hints on making it to such a ripe old age and he replied. “I’ve always felt that if I could make it to April I could probably make it through the rest of the year. At least it’s always worked out that way so far.” April, of course is tax time. I liked the little cartoon I saw that showed a small boy talking to his toys in the playroom, explaining that his Dad phoned and asked him to pray for him. It seems he was called in for a tax audit. One of the characters observed “There are no atheists in the IRS waiting room.”
