PRAYER
It seems to me that it is of more than just passing interest that virtually every month the lectionary readings include some important passages on prayer. You’d almost get the idea that prayer was vital to the Christian’s life. “I was never deeply interested in any object, I never prayed sincerely and earnestly for anything, but it came at some time. No matter how distant the day, somehow, in some shape, probably the last I should have advised, it came.” Adoniram Judson.
