ETERNITY
Eternity is always a difficult thing for one to try and comprehend; just another quick little way to try to measure (our human limitation) our concept of a very, very long time: my daughter and I sing this song – origin unknown. In the land of Oden, there stands a mountain
One thousand miles in the air.
From end to end, this mountain measures
One thousand miles square.
A little bird comes a winging,
Once every million years or so,
Sharpens his beak and quickly flies away.
Thus when this mountain, is fully worn away,
This to Eternity’s but one, single day.” Thanks to John P. Madden of Auburn, Washington. 98002
