APPRECIATING OUR OWN GIFT
In Milan, Italy a mechanics union took a group of children to the circus. The children were either deaf or blind . . . but all seemed to be thrilled by the experience. A little girl who was blind said she hoped the deaf children enjoyed the show as much as she did, but she added, “But they probably didn’t. They couldn’t hear the marching band, or the noise of the crowd, or even worse — they couldn’t hear the lions roar!” Corriere Della Sera, as found in Funny, Funny World.
