I read a magazine article about an interesting technology contest. Each competitor had to create a robotic mouse which would race through a maze trying to find the end. The mouse that completed the maze in the least time would be the winner. The entries had the latest in electronic memory circuits, and all kinds of sensors to help them navigate the maze. Who won? A very simple “mouse” whose only instruction was “follow the wall on the right.” It is comforting that in the face of all the modern technology, someone with almost no brains at all can still be a winner — if they follow a methodical plan.
