A true story:
Grandfather was showing signs that he might soon need to be looked after full time. This led to a family meeting about his future. Ten-year-old grandson, Anthony, and his younger sister, were listening intently as the adults discussed the pros and cons of the available choices. Finally, Anthony broke in. “Grandpa,” he said, “I’ll never let you go to an old age home.” Grandfather replied, “You can never tell what the future will bring — sometimes you have to go there.” “No,” Anthony insisted, “you’ll live with me, no matter what happens.” Grandfather then turned to Anthony’s little sister, saying, “That’s very nice of Anthony, and what would you do if I had to go to an old age home?” The little girl thought for a moment, then said, “I’d visit you at Anthony’s.”
