A woman was having a difficult time trying to keep her pet dog from running away …
She talked to a pet store owner about her problem and he said to her, ìYouíre in luck weíve just gotten in a marvelous new product, a scientific, supersonic whistle. Itís very expensive, but it has been thoroughly tested. If your dog runs away, you just blow the whistle and the dog immediately comes running home.î We also discovered that donkeys can hear it and respond to it, but of course thatís not your concern.î
The woman purchased the whistle and that night she let the dog out. When it came time to call the dog back into the house she went to the door and blew the whistle, and, immediately from the living room, her husband said, ìWhoís blowing a whistle at this time of night?î
