When God made the earth, He filled it with everything that is most precious to Him. One small example is a place called Inspiration Point, just above Echo Mountain in southern California. With a quick online search you can find a website that at first glance seems to provide all the particulars one would need to plan a visit to this spectacular location. It begins with a list labeled “The basics.” It reads:
– Distance: 10.4 miles
– Elevation: 2,740 feet.
– Time: 4 hours, 40 minutes
– Trail Condition: Very good. -1
While this information is no doubt useful to hikers, isn’t it, in a major way, missing the point? (pun intended).
