I know there is something about the much beloved Dr. Seuss’ Christmas parable that invokes such wonderful memories for so many. I want to remind the younger ones that there was a time — way back in the ancient past when you couldn’t download or stream or play “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” on an endless loop. No, it came but once a year when children everywhere waited in great anticipation for the evening they could gather ‘round the old television, mesmerized by the Grinch’s antics. So just in case you missed it this year, permit me to read from my favorite part of the story:
“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags.
