“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25).
After several years of marriage, the wife of a certified public accountant began to think that her husband was spending too much time at the office and not enough time with her. She wondered if she was losing him: Could there be another woman? Just asking herself the question was a little death experience. The painful question was running through her mind as she transferred her husband’s account books from his old desk to a new one he had purchased. One of the books of account covered the year in which they were married. She opened it, and suddenly experienced a surge of new life. For, under the heading “Non-recurring Expenses,” her husband had listed this item: one honeymoon.
