The story is told of a certain backwoods preacher who ventured high up in the mountains in search of new members for his Church. One day, after hours of climbing, he spotted a little house he had not seen before. Out of breath from climbing, he hurried triumphantly toward the man sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch. “Howdy, mister,” he said, “I’m the pastor of the Church down the hill.
