“Your gold and your silver have rusted; and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure!” (James 5:3).
Three-year-old Betty was playing in the living room, testing things out. Her mother saw her pick up a nickel, examine it, and then swallow it. The mother immediately picked her up, turned her upside down and pounded on her back. Whereupon, Betty coughed up two dimes. Now the mother was really worried. Hysterically, she shouted to her husband out in the back yard, “Betty just swallowed a nickel and coughed up two dimes. Hurry! Tell me what to do!” The father shouted back “Keep feeding her nickels! We can use the money!”
