AWAY FROM CHURCH
While on a skiing weekend vacation, we attended a community church in the mountains. The service was wonderful; the sermon was powerful. In his sermon the pastor said that he was concerned that he would convey the message of allowing God to use us. He was so concerned that he missed Sunday School, choosing instead to take a walk. While he was walking, the pastor was greeted by a man who had moved away from the community. This man had just moved back into the community, and things were not going well for him at all. The pastor said that he gave the man his card and arranged to get together with the man sometime during the week to talk. The pastor apologetically told the man that he had to get back to church — he was supposed to be in Sunday School. But then the pastor hesitated and questioned what he had just said.
